Sopranoes Anne Mette Greve Klemensen is 1. sopran in Mpiri. She was born in 1980 and is currently studying theology on University of Copenhagen. Anne Mette is a member of the trio Monodi, which travels the nordic countries performing barocque music. Anne Mette joined Mpiri in 2001. |

Katrin Næss Hansen was born in 1968. She is a soprano. Katrin has been singing in different choirs since 1983. Katrin has done a lot of classical solo singing as well as some musicals. Katrin has been in amongst others: Kildevældskirkens Kammerkor, Sokkelund Sangkor, Søndermarkens Schützensemble, Tivolis Koncertkor, Three Spires Singers (UK). Katrin has studied singing under Hanne Stavad, docent at the royal danish music conservatory. Katrin has an education as rythmical pedagogue. Katrin joined Mpiri in 2007. |

Tóra Vestergaard sings soprano. She is studying musical teaching at the royal music academy in Copenhagen. Tóra joined Mpiri in the spring of 2009. |

Cecilia Nolsøe Poulsen being a classical mezzosoprano, sings 2. soprano. Having started out as alto, sh brings warmth and body to the mid range of the female voices. Cecilia studies Business Communication at Copenhagen Business College. Cecilia has like most young people from Suðuroy (the southern most of the Faroese islands) been singing with Ljómur for years. Cecilia joined Mpiri in 2008. |
Altoes Johanna av Steinum sings 1. alto. Johanna has been involved in performing arts since her teenage years when she sang in different choirs and performed in the well known faroese musical Skeyk. Johanna has a degree in design from London, where she lived for several years. She has been working for many of the famous designers in London. Now she is situated in Copenhagen and has started her own line of designer knitwork. Johanna joined Mpiri in february 2010 |

Lív Mikkelsen is born in 1984 and she sings 1. alt. Lív studies Human Science at RUC University. Lív started playing the piano at a young age, and soon was starting bands at the youth club. As so many from Tórshavn, she started her choir career in the rythmic choir at the Tórshavns Highschool. During her highschool years she participated in the musicals ‘Godspell’ and ‘Jesus and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat’. |

Sigriður “Sigga” EyÞórsdóttir is 2. alt. Sigga was born in 1963 and has an MA in music and psychology. Sigga conducts a number of choirs in Copenhagen, amongst others The Icelandic Womens Choir. Sigga has her own business as a lecturer on Icelandic culture and nature – ISKULT Sigga joined Mpiri in august 2003. |

Tenors Tróndur Bogason Hansen sings 2. tenor. He is born in 1976 and studies composition at the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen. He has been playing the piano and composing music ever since he was a little boy and has made himself famous for writing music within several different genres. Tróndur has been the head man in several rock bands and is moreover writing music for classical ensembles, symphony orchestras and choirs. He has won several prizes for his compositions. For instance in 2000 he won the competition writing a new cantata for the Ólavsøka, the national fiest of the Faroe Islands. Tróndur has been connected to Mpiri both as composer and singer since the very beginning and has written several pieces directly for the choir. |

Gisli Magnason sings 1.tenor in Mpiri. He joined the choir in 2009. Originally from Iceland, he moved to Copenhagen from London in 2008, to studyat the Complete Vocal Institute and is now an authorized teacher from the institution. He has years of experience as a choir singer, the longest as a member of Schola Cantorum chamber choir in Reykjavik, Iceland. He also worked professionally in Holland, both with the Netherlands Bach Society and with the Dutch Radio Choir. In London Gisli was the conductor |
Basses
Dánial Hoydal Sings 1. bass. Dánial is born in 1976 and studies Rhetoric og Informatics at the University of Copenhagen. Like many others in Mpiri he started singing in the rythmic choir in Hoydalar Gymnasium in Tórshavn, not leaving it before long time after having finished the school. He has been singing with the Faroese chamber choir, Tórshavnar Kamarkór and also participated in the musical SKEYK in 1997. Dánial joined Mpiri in the autumn of 1998, and is now the secretary of the choir. |

Bogi Karbech Mouritsen Sings 2. bass. Bogi is born in 1967 and works with information technologies. He started his singing career in The Male Choir in Tórshavn in 1990 with whom he participated in a choir competition in Wales in 1994. As several others of the members he has been singing with Húsakórið, the oldest and largest Faroese choir in Copenhagen. Moreover, he has been playing the bass guitar in a rock band, and has also been singing with several danish as well as faroese barber shop quartets, for instance the group 4R (pronounced [fuirar], meaning ”guys”). As several others in Mpiri Bogi receives singing lesson from Jon Hollesen. Bogi was one of the founders of Mpiri and conducted the choir until he was substituted by Sunleif Rasmussen in the summer of 2000. He has also been chairman of the choir. |

Hans Mols Mortensen Sings 2. bass. Hans is born in 1982 and studies medicine at the Panum Institute. He has sung, since he was a small kid. His career as a choir singer started in the Faroese choir Ljómur which was conducted by Sigmund Olsen and Vilhelm Meyer. With Ljómur he has been on tour to Iceland and Denmark. His background as a choir singer is primarily classical – Faroese and international classical works and psalms. His time with Ljómur culminated with the release of a CD in 2002. Hans has also participated in several larger choir projects such as the Elias Oratory by Mendelssohn and the annual New Year Concerts in Tórshavn. He also has experience as a gospel soloist. He joined Mpiri in January 2005. |
